Thanks for coming by. I’m Jack “Salem” Addison (Salem Linnet is my gamertag, also a character from one of my webcomics and the defacto mascot of the company) and I’m an artist. I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil and I’ve had a lifelong fascination with comics.

If you’ve read my work, you know that certain themes characterize my writing. You’ll find ghosts, slow burn romance, and military fashion in everything I do. I draw what I like drawing. All my comics are about gay disabled men, that’s probably because I am a gay disabled man.

I was writing and sketching the proto versions of Thistle and Spade in 2006 aged 13, but in 2010 I started producing the comic in earnest using the well known website hosting platform at the time, Tumblr. Thistle and Spade is currently on a hiatus while I produce a buffer and move it over to its new website, but for now you can still read the backlog at ThistleandSpade.com, still on it's historic tumblr host. In 2019 I got too sick to draw altogether, but finally started getting diagnoses that could be operated on. I’ve been recovering since, by 2022 I was well enough to produce a smaller project and I desperately needed something to keep sharpening my skills on when a little known franchise called Call of Duty released a game with all my interests and some irresistible game models. A fan project called Domesticated was the result. Now I’m almost healthier than ever, and I can produce Thistle and Spade in the background while I publish Domesticated.
